Insurance
Rebecca has a contract with The Lactation Network to provide insurance-covered home visits and virtual consultations.
The Lactation Network accepts most Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, Anthem PPO, and Cigna PPO plans. They also accept all PNOA (Provider Network of America) plans, as well as those in the MultiPlan network.
To check if your plan is part of PNOA or MultiPlan, look for a PNOA or MultiPlan logo on your insurance card.
If you have insurance through one of these providers, you may be eligible for up to 6 consultations, at no cost to you. You can check your coverage by clicking the link below.
If you are not eligible for coverage through The Lactation Network, you may still be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company after your consultation. You will be required to pay up front (out-of-pocket/self-pay), and will be provided with documentation to submit to your insurance company after the appointment. Reimbursement cannot be guaranteed. It is highly recommended that you contact your insurance company ahead of time to inquire about coverage.
Most insurance companies are required to cover breastfeeding support under the Affordable Care Act. Information about the law and how to communicate with your insurance company is available through the National Women's Law Center. A helpful toolkit can be found here.
